5 Ways to Make Money Online

how to make money onlineEarning money working from home can help you supplement your income or even support yourself completely. Since most households have an Internet connection these days, it’s easy to make extra money on your own schedule. Work in comfort from your own home office, or while staying home with the kids. All you need is a little motivation and determination. Once you find your niche, you’ll build a client base and begin to earn a living.

Websites like AssociatedContent.com and ehow.com pay writers for captivating and attention-grabbing articles. Do you have a special interest in a particular field, or are you an expert in a certain area? If you write about what you love, you’ll find that the words flow easily and your articles are fun to read. You can also write brief excerpts for crowdsourcing companies like CloudCrowd or Elance. Don’t ignore the possibilities that exist in your local community, either. Consider pitching the idea for a new column to a local newspaper or starting a website that reviews local restaurants.

If you can write coherent and comprehensive product reviews, you can make money writing them online. Some websites pay for written product reviews. Others pay for video reviews. Don’t go out and buy new products to review; just write about what you already have. Chances are there are items that you have bought recently that you love and others that you don’t love so much. Share your experience and make some cash.

If you consistently have a lot to talk about and are willing to share your opinion, create a blog. Spin news stories with your unique sense of humor, or review the best books you’ve read lately. Work on gaining loyal readers, sell advertising, or make money via affiliate links that pay you a commission when your readers click on them.

Are you the person in the office who everyone turns to when they need a second glance at a presentation or document? Maybe you don’t have the urge to write articles from scratch, but you can rearrange sentences and have a colorful vocabulary. Use Google AdWords to advertise your editing services or work for one of the crowdsourcing companies mentioned above. If you notice a typo or error in a local publication, contact the editor. Maybe you can join its team.

Selling and Reselling

Do you create one-of-a-kind items by sewing or woodworking? Sell your art on eBay or Etsy. Artists and graphic designers can create products with their artwork on websites like Cafepress.com and earn a profit from every item sold. Other creative types can sell their work on Artfire.

If you’re not an artist but have a keen eye for value, go antiquing on the weekends and sell your findings on eBay. You may have to test out the waters to find the most desirable items, but once you determine where the money is, you’ll be able to turn around your inventory quickly and pocket the profit.

Website Services

If you know your way around a computer and have an eye for design, learn how to set up and manage websites. You can customize packages for clients that include logo design, website creation, and search engine optimization. If you have graphic design skills, you can sell blog templates and backgrounds. If you’re a programmer, consider creating a new app for a smart phone.

Executive Assistant

Many executives don’t even compose their own emails anymore, and many offices are trading in the overhead of high rent for a more virtual environment. It’s not unheard of for employees of one company to be spread out across the country or across the globe. Virtual assistants can write documents, organize electronic files, keep track of accounting, or perform data entry for their bosses. The best part is that they can do it from their own home offices.

Working from home is becoming more popular and easier to do. Instead of pounding the pavement looking for your next job, try just doing an online search. If you’re committed and creative, you’ll be able to earn some money working from your home computer.

I think writing will never get outdated because users around the world are searching for information and this also means the need to outsource writing jobs. Many people are making a decent income freelancing as writers. Another method, I feel is web services since number of people are creating websites.

When I read a title like 10 Ways of… or 5 of I kind of expect a numbered list. Then I realized this was guest content. You’ve done a really nice job of integrating Adsense. Your ads are on topic. I visited this ad:

    Make Money Online http://www.prizes.org
Enter simple contests everyday. Take home $1000+ cash prizes!

And it made no sense at all. There was no call to action at all. I realized it was a Google ads… oh well. Congrats to you, you scored 10 cents. That’s what good integration will do for you.

I had a mixed feeling, whether to consider your comment as being sarcastic or helpful. But anyway, thanks for the ad analysis. I know it scored me 10 cent or less, but hey… it’s still money right? ;)

Honestly, if you have suggestion, please share yours (other than promote affiliate programs, get organic traffic and such… )

And yes, it was a guest post ;)
